Sweet Eye Candy!

To help me celeabrate my birthday... my BFF Lori took me to...
where they were celebrating their birthday as well!
It's my party, and I'll buy if I want to... buy if I want to, buy if I want to... You would buy too if you happened to you... (sung to Leslie Gore's song from 1968). This became the theme for my birthday this year because this is just what I did.
I couldn't resist the darling wool flower pin cushions
that fit in the top of a spool of thread and of course...
you know me and 30's fabrics!
Our first stop was at one of my favorite quilt shops...
Pine Needles.
Lori and I were greeted by these wonderful ladies...
Wendy (middle) and Cecilia ( left).
Then the fun began~
Of course the first thing I spied was
 aprons... aprons everywhere.
I was taken by this darling flower pot with
yo-yo flowers and the adorable little reindeer...
not to mention this little dear of a different kind.
How cute is this 6 mo. old baby... with her beautiful
head of hair and flower headband? TOO CUTE!
Sweet eye candy made up of  beautiful needle work...
and quilts everywhere you looked.
Love the rick rack handles on this cute basket quilt.
Love it... love it... love it! My new moto!
A clever way to show off your crocheted flowers...
by placing them in the center of the blocks!
Simple but darling!
Not so simple... but off the chart gorgeous!
This is made from an Australian pattern.
It comes in several parts like a block of the month.
Oh... so sweet!
Check out these pom pom pens
made from the ends of the fat quarters.
I thought these were cute enough to take home with me.

Our next stop was Lori's favorite antique shop...
Aunt Elsie's and Material Girls.
So much more to share... so stay tuned for
"More Sweet Eye Candy" tomorrow!
