Speaking of the Ugly Quilt Contest...
the Kennel Girls met Tuesday
and we discussed the up coming annual
"Dog Kennel Quilt Guild Extravaganza"
that will be held in September.
that will be held in September.
On this special day we have a quilt show of all of the
guild members quilts that they have made throughout
the year and a luncheon followed by a trunk show.
That is also when will be displaying our Ugly Quilts
that we have made from our brown bags.
At guild meeting we also had a bit of
"Tell and Show"!
Diana started off with this wonderful quilt.
I love what she did with the back!
Janey shared with us her adorable
Thanksgiving wall quilt.

This was a kit that she purchased.
The name of the pattern is "Running Scared"

Great job Janey!!!
The second thing is... every year we have a
"Day of Quilting" that is held the day before our Extravaganza. On this day we have classes. This year we are blessed to have as one of our teachers Lori Holt from Bee in my Bonnet. She will be teaching us her applique method and we will be making her...

Hi RaeAnn,
I am counting my blessings in a different way as I fell down the stairs on Saturday and was lucky to get up without broken bones, albeit bruised and very sore. Good luck with the giveaway and the brown bag quilts. I saw a quilt on a market stall that would have won it hands down - hexagons zig zagged together in black thread!!!!
Love Shirley.
Posted the button on my blog. http://patchworkpossiblities.blogspot.com/
Made a post about it.
I'm in it and just did a whole post about it and put the button (and link) on my sidebar...sounds like a fun challenge and since we KEEP what we make, I don't have to worry if the other person won't like it....because I AM the other person in this fun event!!! (I've done it at guild where we turn the brown bag fabric into something for the original owner of the fabric and that can be stressful!!!)
Got the button, and will post later today!!
So looking forward to the fun. :)
