Sneak Peek...

It has been a while since I did my last post but here is a sneak peek of some of what I have been up to lately!

I have been making my "ugly quilt" for the
"Ugly Quilt Contest" that will be held on September 10th
at our annual Dog Kennel Quilt Guild Extravaganza.
Please come if you can!

If you remember...
I received these fabrics in a brown bag
at our quilt guild meeting back in January.

Now...
I have to say that these fabrics are not ugly!
Goes to show... you never know what you will find
in a brown bag!

Well... back to more stitching!
I will see ya soon with the rest of what I have been up to.

Oh... and please forgive me for not keeping up with all of you dear blogging buddies.  Things will slow down for me after this week and I will be able to find time to read your wonderful post!

Later..

I love the idea of making an ugly quilt INTENTIONALLY!!! I'm going to have to run this by my quilt group to see what they think...none of them have ever made an ugly quilt so it would be so fun to see what they would come up with! Yours doesn't look one bit ugly...but I'm pulling for ya! xo, Nan

I think the colors look like the old ladys that wear purple and have red hats. Hope your having a blast!

That fabric is so ugly, you better consider getting rid of it, maybe my way! What a fun idea, getting it in a brown bag and then creating something fun. It's going to be so pretty, you will loose for sure if it's being judged. Keep us posted please!

I don't think they're ugly either! And I'm sure you'll turn them into something prettier still.
