No Need to Be Sad... Alive and Well!

No need to be sad ~
the
 "Brown Bag Contest"
is still
alive and well!

Unfortunately, there was a bit of misunderstanding and some miscommunication about the whole thing after I turned
Stash Manicure over to Madame Samm.

I apologize for it all!

I started the "Brown Bag Contest", turned it over to JoyLyn who had some unfortunate circumstances that took place that no one could foresee... one of which was loosing her computer... which put her out of communication for a while. I understand this caused a few of you to wonder what was going on and rightfully so.

Due to Madame Samm's frustration of no communication with JoyLyn and the over whelming responsibility of running
Stash Manicure...

(of which she is doing an absolutely fabulous job...Thanks Samm!)
she felt the need to cancel the Brown Bag Contest.

Just know... It has never been mine or JoyLyn's intension to discontinue the Brown Bag Contest.

Now that being said girls...

the Brown Bag Contest button will remain a permanent fixture on my blog and will soon be linked to a new site. For those of you participating feel free to click on it anytime which will take you to a new site dedicated only to the Brown Bag Contest that we are in the process of setting up.

So keep working on those quilts... We want to see your process and we will notify you when the Flicker page is set up.

Please be forgiving of us all~

See soon on Flicker!

I think I'm in this...but I've actually forgotten who was in charge of the thing I'm doing. The dates on your brown bag logo on the sidebar seem to be the dates I recall, though, so I assume this IS the one I'm in. Gosh.......nothing like a bit of confusion, huh? LOL Thanks for stepping in and getting things back under control, Rae Ann!!! Please post when the new blog is set up for this, okay? I just clicked the brown bag now and wasn't able to get to anything, so I guess you have it in progress....but not ready for us yet.

Rae Ann, I think I can talk for a few of us, we are not mad. Life happens. We all have had something come up that we can do nothing about. We understand. Thank you for the heads up and yes you all are forgiven.

My brown bag partner and I are all set and ready with each other's fabrics - So I'll keep a good eye out for the deadline to get this done.

I bet there are more of us who are all set to participate, fabrics at the ready.

Thanks Rae Ann for letting us Brown Baggers what's up. Ditto what Shannon said..never was upset or mad, figured it would work itself out eventually :) The fabrics I received from my partner will be a challenge! There was chicken fabric and to say that I don't care for chickens is putting it politely LOL! Maybe I could put a noose around it's neck or something funky like that! LOL!

I'm so glad it's still happening. I haven't started my quilt but the plan is to get to it right after the holidays. Thanks so much Rae Ann!

I got so far as to sign up when everything went crazy. I never got a partner so I don't even know if I'm still registered or signed up or whatever??? LOL!! Hey, life happens and I just figured it would all fall into place if it was meant to be. Would you please check my name and see if I'm on the list??

Yeah! I finished my top last week and was searching and searching for info on where to post it. Thanks for keeping it alive. I will wait for further instruction and then post my photo. I am so glad the challenge did not disappear!

Oh, RaeAnn!! Thank you so much for posting about this. I fretted over what had become of the Brown Bag Swap when I tried searching for the blog site. I was trying to find the rules and deadlines again. I found the original site and it had not been updated, so I got a little concerned if it was still on or not.

I've been working on the quilt top and hope to have it finished soon.

I'm so glad to hear that all is now well again! Thanks for keeping this alive & well! No hard feelings at all!! :)

What is the Brown Bag Contest?

O dear...so you mean to say, there was some mixup, and it has been temporarily canceled? I must REALLY be out of the loop, because I have been merrily going my way, planning what I will do with my fabrics.

So, the due date is no longer 3/15, but 4/1? OK, I will change that on my blog, or where I listed the deadline.

Thanks for the update! And, even if I had known about the mix-up, I would not be at all upset. :)
