"Wasatch Front Hop Shop" and "Scenic Byway Hop"
where all of the Utah quilter's stop what they are doing
to head out for 4 days of wonderful FUN!
Of course... I couldn't stand the thought of missing it
so I grabbed a couple of my friends and away we went!
However... time only allowed us to see a few shops.
This year's theme for the Wasatch Front Shop Hop was
"The Greatest Quilt I Ever Read".
Each shop that participated in it, had a block
to share and created a quilt
using all of the blocks from the participating shops.
Our first stop was "Broadbents" in Lehi...
where their book was "The Great Gatsby".
This was their incredible quilt they designed
using all of the blocks from the different shops.
My cute friends there all dressed the part
and were ready to help us with all of our needs.
These and the next three beautiful quilts
were just a few that we saw while at Broadbents.
Then off to "Just Sew"
which was a part of "Scenic Byway" Shop Hop .
Here are some of their wonderful quilts.
Next shop... " Material Girls" which was also a part of
"Scenic Byway".
Nadine always has great quilts
adorning the walls of her shop.
Recognize these? Yes... Lori Holt's designs
using her very own fabric line... "Sew Cherry".
Then off we went to...
Their book was... "Saving CeeCee Honeycutt"...
focusing in on the scene of the book, a southern tea party.
My sweet friends that work there were dressed up...
and ready for the tea party.
Susann and Judi sat right down...
hoping to be served...
while I went around enjoying all of the eye candy.
I have never before...
seen so many yummy pieces in one quilt shop.
See if you agree!
See what I mean by eye candy!?!
using all of the shop hop blocks.
Hope your not full yet... still more!
Well... I could go on... there is still SO much more to show but that will have to be in my next post... part 2!
If you have made it this far... Please leave me a comment telling me what your favorite quilt was that you saw in this post. I have a little surprise up my sleeve and will tell you all about it in my next post!
Hugs!

I really like the quilt that has the four squares together, don't know what it is called. It was the seventh picture. I love that sundress. It would be perfect for little granddaughters. Liz
Oh my goodness someday I will visit your area just to do my own shop hop. My favorite quilt is the basket quilt made with Sew Cherry by Lori Holt but there are so many others I'm crazy about.
Looks like yal had a lot a fun! Loved all the pictures of the quilts....just wonderful!
Oh, how do you pick a favorite!! You are right, eye candy galore. I really like that little pillow- "You Are My Sunshine", but that Great Gatsby quilt is just amazing!!! OK, I really liked the Eventide quilt, too. Thanks for all of the beautiful photos.
ALL of the quilts were A-MA-ZING! But I must admit that I stopped and studied that sweet little basket quilt they made up. I haven't quite mastered my fear of applique yet, so imagine my excitement to see a basket quilt that doesn't require any! I could make that!!

so hard to choose but that Great Gatsby quilt was sensational!!!
I love the pink star one but simple me loved the very first pincushion most of all (even though it isn't a quilt!!!! LOL
sugary hugs
Wendyb :O)
So many cute things! I really like some of the pillows, but my favorite quilt was the big Lone Star quilt at Just Sew. I also really like the one at Broadbent that is in the middle in the picture just below the ladies dressed in costume. I also like the very last one pictured, the one with the stars.
It sounds like you and your friends had a good time. You didn't tell us what you bought?!?
Oh my goodness! There are so many amazing quilts. Please bring on part two, I am so inspired!! Never could I pick a favorite, I like far too many. Looks like you had a super fun time!
It was a great shop hop this year. A friend and I started in Brigham City, went to Shepherd's Bush, two shops (Ogden and Roy) not on the shop hop, and then hit Elaine's and Whimsey Cottage in SLC. The book theme was definitely fun.
Wow how fun! And so many wonderful quilts! Eventide really caught my eye~ love the cheery fabrics! Thanks for taking me along! :-)
Ahhhh what a sweet trip....I got a little faint at times thinking there are not enough days for me to ever be as good of a quilter as these inspiring ladies..Thank goodness there was a resting spot with the other two, while you took more photos Rae Ann...oh my...fav's all of them lol,,,love the quilts with the white backgrounds..truly madly deeply..thanks for the outing..
WOW!! Two great shop hops. How can you be so lucky? The Great Gatsby is my favorite.
Hi, Rae Ann! Sure do miss you!! I like the Mary Mary Quite Contrary quilt best and the little basket quilt second best! Thanks for all the awesome eye candy!!
I loved all of the quilts, wallhangings, table runners, pillows, etc. But my favorite had to be the Great Gatsby quilt. I would love to see that one in person.
Great post -- a quilt show in my computer.
Thanks!
How can I pick a favourtie? They all touched a chord in my heart.
What a fun shop hop. Thank you for taking us along.
So happy someone went on the Shop Hop and is posting pics for us to see! I couldn't make it this time. I am still in love with the basket quilt that hangs in Pine Needles.
What a fabulous quilt show you have given us. I love the one under these words: "These and the next three beautiful quilts
were just a few that we saw while at Broadbents." It is absolutely stunning.
Oh goodness what I day you had and such fun!I still say you Utah gals know how to do it up right!
I loved them all but 2 favs were the Halloween stitchery and the patriotic red, white and blue!
I always love it when you do a post! And I'm so thrilled you had a chance to do the Shop Hop with Judi and Suzanne. (MISS you girlers!)
So many wonderful quilts, it's hard to choose, but I want to make the 3rd one from the bottom. (can't remember the pattern name right now, but it's on my to-do list)
Thanks for the wonderful quilt inspiration! Do you remember more about the Halloween quilt? I've never made a Halloween quilt and am planning one in my future projects. I love the basket quilt at Pine Needles. Guess a basket quilt is in my future, too:) Have a great weekend!
Wow so many beautiful quilts! I love the center quilt in the first picture from Broadbents. Also really like the center of the dresden plate pillow! And...
Love seeing these quilts. Some day I need to get out to Utah. I just got back from Bermuda, so am catching up. Love the pincushion in the first picture. Is it a pattern? What fun.
There is a quilt that is under your comment "See what I mean by eye candy?" It has jumbo rick rack, paisley shapes, and is in colors of aqua and red. LOVE!

My favorite is the squares in squares quilt with the row of dresdens. From Cluck Cluck Sew, right? Thanks for sharing the great photos!
What an amazing Shop Hop! I love the Eventide Quilt...love the way they used those polka dots. Thank you for sharing your fun day!
Hi Rae Ann, what a great post! Sounds like you had lots of fun and I can't believe how many quilts were in that last shop!!! Looking forward to the next installment
thank you !!! Thank YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! I moved over 2000 miles away and went through withdrawals just knowing I was missing Shop Hop/Scenic byway. I am so glad I follow you as you are the first person I follow to comment AND comment with great pics!!! I LOVE the 2 at Nadine's and I would have totally bought the central park quilt and the other one (orangish) at Pine Needles. OH, I can't wait to see more!!! did I say THANK YOU??!!
Wow! Wish I was in the area to do the hop. Thank you so much for sharing. It's hard to choose...but I love the little "you are my sunshine" pillow because my daughter used to sing that to her daddy when she was very little.
It looks like you had so much fun! That Great Gatsby quilt is amazing!! I know the exact quote from the book too, where he's talking about her floating around the room like a ghost. It's been 10 years since I read that book, but that quilt brought it all back to me. Gorgeous! Thanks for all the great pics!
Love the one at Broadbent the one that looks a lot like the picnic quilt fron scrapbasket surprises, totally different but it reminds me of that one, love the fabrics kind of feedsacks, and the Halloween one at Pine Needles. But still is hard to pick everything is gorgeous, wich is bad last time that I went to a quilt shop with so much to choose from I "chocked" I didn't bough anything. Too much to choose from afraid I pick the wrong thing. Can't wait for part 2. Hugs: Ruth.
Such inspiration, I love quilt runs! You showed one quilt that I just purchased, hmm, I'm thinking on that one....
:-}pokey
Wow! Thanks for sharing all that beauty with us! I liked the one called "Eventide" the best!

Gosh!!! I bet you had fun watching all the quilts, just guessing, my fave quilt's "Just Sew" of "Scenic Byway" , I loved the Baltimore quilts as well, well to be honest, not only them!!! I just became your 500 follower, yay!
This is the first time I have come across your blog :) its very lovely. My favourites would have to be the two wee wall hangings with the birds and owls on the branches (the photo with the monkey sitting on the hanger also) and the one above the 'you are my sunshine' pillow with the Dresden like plates on it. (Sorry I cant read the names and sorry for my not to technical description! names are not my quilting forte :)). It looks like you had such fun! Look forward to seeing more!
Thanks so much for the shop hop pics. Love love the pictures.
