A Retreat to Remember

Nothing's better than a quilt retreat with friends.

Our September quilt retreat had to be
 one of the best ever!
Quilting! Food! Fun! Laughter! Not to mention......
Chocolate!

Here's Kelly!

Kelly wins the "High Gear " award.

She completed the most projects by far.

And she was always cheery!

I honestly thought she might
burn that machine of hers up!

She never seemed to pause long enough
to go take the next breath.

She totally wore herself out!

Well, she's fine and the machine is still going.

Then there's Jackie!

Jackie wins the "Do-Bee" award.

She would be up before everyone else
and was always the last one to go to bed.

She would start a new project
only to turn around and
announce that she had it done.

She was a busy little bee all the time.
Just wait until you see her ant picnic quilt!

Next we have Susann!

Susann wins the " Miss Stitches" award.

She is great at embroidery and applique.

She gets right after it!

She was very percise and accurate,
never missing a stitch.

She also kept us in stitches with her fun humor!

Now we have Laurene!

Laurene wins the "Fast and Furious" award.

She is new to machine applique but
caught on and couldn't let go.

As a result she sailed right through this whole quilt
in a couple of days.

She even got her cute sampler done!

Myself? Well ......

Rae Ann wins the "Big Dreamer" award.

I love "Pajama Day"!
I sure sew alot more in my dreams than
can ever can be imagined.

Reality has it that I am up running around
 doing others things
when I should be quilting!

I guess that's the problem with hosting this fun event,
I just want things to be perfect for everyone
and for all to have a great time.
And we die!

Wow. Looks like so much fun. I totally need to do something like that to finish all these half-finished projects I've got going.

Great quilts. Some looked a little familiar. ;)

I can't believe my eyes! I have been racking my brain for a month now trying to find out where I had seen a cute Halloween sampler quilt with different 'monsters' on it. I finally gave up and have embarked on creating my own pattern. What a pain this is! Anyway, can you tell me the name of your patterns so I can buy them?
Your retreat looked so fun! There is nothing better than getting together with people who love quilting and giggling all at the same time.

Some of these gals look really familiar. Really familiar. I remember the first time I met you. You were helping get the Broadbents quilt shop off to a start. Wow look where it is now. You should always be really happy with that accomplishment.
