Merry Halloween and "BOO TO YOU"!

"Trick or Treat"...
And...
"Boo to You" out there in Blogland!
I am back and have missed you all terribly.

I have got to ask...
What ya got brewing in your pot?

Mine seems to be boiling over these days with so much to do since my return from my trip to North Carolina and Tennessee, where I had a wonderful time searching for my ancestors and finding their graves.

I took my sweet friend Judi with me
and we had a "Major Blast" running around old
cemeteries looking for my family.

This cemetery is the "Old Gray Cemetery"
in Knoxville Tennessee which is over 150 years old.

Here I found several members of my family.

I felt this very EERIE... CREEPY feeling
from the minute I walked into this cemetery and
I kept hearing sounds of branching snapping behind me.

There were tons of these little bounders
running around so hopefully it was only them!

However...

after telling the staff at the McClung Historical Library in downtown Knoxville that we had visited this cemetery, they ask if we had seen any GHOST.
They said that it is known to be HAUNTED and...
there have been GHOST seen on several occassions.
Ooooo... I won't be going back if I can help it!

Well...

since I didn't make a "new" Halloween quilt...

I will show you one of my favorites that I made
years back and hang each fall before Halloween.

I fell in love with this border fabric because it spoke
"Vintage Halloween" to me.

Looking forward to hearing from you and I will be back
to catch you up on all
that I had to share in posting before I left.

A Merry Halloween BBF's!

Welcome back! Wow, I love to go and do rubbings at old cemeteries.
But looking for ancestors is so neat!! To bad you did not see any ghosts!

Nice blog. I too spend a great deal of time in Cemeteries looking for my ancestors when I am not quilting. Love the quilt you made but am also interested in the halloween quilt that Robin made. The witched feet/shoes...Is that a pattern by chance? If you could let me know, I love it...Need to make one for next year! Jan stitchinfox@yahoo.com
