Kennel Girls...Off To A Good Start!

The year 2010 is off to a good start for the Dog Kennel Girls. Our attendance was great! We started off with a great show and tell. As you will see, some of these women have been very busy this past month!

This cute quilt was made by Cindy.
I just had to show this one first,
with Valentines coming up so soon.

LaRee actually began by showing us her
adorable snowman quilt she had completed.

This quilt was part of a block exchange
done by the Kennel girls a while back.
I am sad that I missed out on this one!

These are definitely some of the cutest
snowmen blocks I have ever seen!

Jann shared with us several quilts that she had
finished right in time for Christmas. One was
this darling stocking quilt. Love the colors!!!

It was followed by her creative...
 make it simple...but cute quilt.

And last but not least, her wonderful snowman
quilt made from the Figgy Pudding line.

Jill made this quilt for her daughter for Christmas.
I simply adore the colors. It is so pretty!

I loved what she did on the back!

This quilt she made for her parent's Christmas,

followed by this one for her in-laws,
done in lighter tones to match their home.

This is Cindy, the gal that made the beautiful
heart quilt that I showed you at the beginning.

Everything that she made was soooo cute!
I loved this flower pot applique quilt.

How cute is this Santa quilt that she made?!?

Cindy did a great job of machine appliqueing,
however she said that she prefers hand applique.

Sylvia was very busy making some
adorable little baby and children quilts.

Her choice of fabrics were great!

I have always loved brown and pink quilts.

She made this darling quilt from the
Tiny Tots line by Amy Barickman
Too cute for words!

It is hard to see the print on this quilt, but
it is animals. I wish my picture would have
turned out better, because it was so cute!

I just have to show you the back so
you can see how cute Sylvia quilted it!

It was fun to see Sue again.
She brought some wonderful things
 that she had been making.

Isn't this pincushion and bag the cutest ever!
I told her I thought I needed one of these.

She had made several of these
darling bags and given them away.
I am glad that she made one for herself
so we could see how cute they were.

This is only the show and tell from our Kennel meeting. We also had a class taught by myself, where I showed them how to make the little Schnibbles quilt, Winter White. We had another fun thing that we do only once a year. I will show you what that is later this next week, on part two of....Kennel Girls....Off To A Good Start!

Until then...keep up on quilting!

It looks like your group has been busy! Wonderful quilts. I hope your class went well. I know Judi was excited to join you. And I'm looking forward to everyone coming into St. George tomorrow! We've had the most beautiful weather this last week. But, be prepared, I heard on the news a monsoon type storm is headed to Vegas, and we expect a lot of rain next week.
