It's Tell and Show~

Well... it is Wednesday and it is time to...
"Tell and Show"!
What you saw in my last post was a nibble of a Schnibbles. Yes, another little SCHNIBBLES!
I LOVE making them!
This pattern is called...
DECOY
It has now become one of my favorites.
This is the line of fabric that I used and the
best part is that it was from my stash!
I happened to love making this particular block so much that I decided to go to work and whip up something else to share. I'll be back to "Tell and Show" again when it is done~!

A special little note to my friend Pat from A Little of This and a Little of Pat ...  just wanted to thank you for your post over at my other blog... Stash Manicure... where you shared with us on Thursday about decorating with your stash.  I did just that as you can see in my first picture.
Great idea Pat!

Hi Rae Anne, this has turned out beautiful!! Very bold! Tell me, what officially, is a schnibble? I see the word often.... but am never exactly sure what it means.

Rae Ann said...

Thanks for asking Raewyn!

A Schnibbles is a group of small quilt patterns desined by Carrie of Miss Rosie's Quilts.

On her site she has listed the meaning of a Schnibble from the Dictionary of American Regional English published by the Harvard University Press... which follows.

Schnibble: noun A scrap of fabric; a leftover bit of cloth; a small piece. The word has a German origin and is found primarily in German settlements in the Midwest.

Please visit her site and take time to view the collection by going to...

Hope this helps! I know I sure love all of the quilts found on her site. She is a fabulous designer!

Hugs!
Rae Ann
