My Day To Quilt!

It is my day to quilt!
Here is what I am working on today!

It's a BOM that I am teaching the Kennel Girls
(Dog Kennel Quilt Guild).

I am having them make two blocks a month of the same block. It can be out of any fabric they choose. As you can see... I have chosen one of my favorites... Civil War!

Don't you just love my physicadelic flannel covered corkboard? I found it at Walmart. It is 16" square and perfect for placing block pieces on so you don't get those HST going the wrong way!~

This is next month's block and
I will be making my one second today!

Then... I will be finishing my redwork block
that we are doing for the American Quilting BOM.
Don't tell anyone... but this is the first time in my life that I have ever embroidered and...
I AM LOVING IT!

Tell me what you are up to!
Have a GREAT DAY!~

Very beautiful blocks. I love your blocks, and the corkboard cover is awesome. What a great way to place your blocks. Those HSTs are very easy to get backward, for sure!

How fun! Did you get the comics I sent about aprons? I never heard back from you. :(

Love the embroidery. It is fun - and very portable! Enjoy...

Wonderful teaching blocks and I just love your samples. Your flannel covered cork board is the perfect size. I should have used one not long ago when I had to rip and sew the same hst 3 times when I put it in wrong twice - not a good day - lol! I just stared embroidering a couple months ago after not doing any for years. It is so much fun and relaxing, too.

Lovely blocks and those points are wonderful!

How did you escape embroidering in all these years? That little duck looks like it would be lots of fun to embroider. And your blocks are looking pretty sharp too!

My past few weeks have been lots of tatting - for friends, for exchanges in my craft group.

I have also found my Creative Crafts book (which I have 'misplaced' while moving furniture for my craft room) to start my hand embroidery - for a bookmark exchange and an exchange later mid-year.

Love your design board idea. Great blocks too. Embroidering is one of my favorite past times. I really love the dimension that it can add to a quilt and you can really personalize things with it.
