A Few More Quilts!

As I was going through the pictures of the retreat once again... I noticed that there were several that I had failed to post from the other 2 trunk shows we saw. Without saying too much more I would like to share them with you now.

The first are from the trunk show by Joyce of
Geoff's Mom Pattern Co.
She is another great local Utah designer.
This pattern is Sunny Days. Just loved it!
And of course I had to have it!
Sorry I didn't get the name of the others.
I think this one is "No Fish".
Joyce is such a talented gal!

The next several quilts are that from the trunk show of Jill Finley. She happens to be a local designer of fabulous quilts, fabrics and notions. You can read about her on her blog...

The pictures are not too great of these because
of the lighting and how far away I was seated.
Sorry no name on these as well!
Stunning quilts and beautiful work!
This last one is "Trellis"... designed by Jill...
but I failed to get a picture of hers. This one
was actually made by our freind Carol.
She showed it on the night of "Show and Tell".

I think we were spoiled at this last retreat. It was so fun to see all of the wonderful local artist and their quilts. Now you can understand why we LOVE American Quilting's retreats. Thanks goes to Amy and all the gals that put in so many long hours to make it so fun... exciting.... and memorable!

My Faovrite!

One of the best parts of the retreat to me and my favorite of all was Lori's trunk show. I can't believe the talent that this girl has. I know some of you have seen her quilts and know what I mean.... but for those of you that haven't.... well sit back and enjoy! Even if you have... you can enjoy it all again! If you're like me... you can never get enough of her beautiful quilts and great designs. Amazing..... simply amazing!

So many pictures... so much detail... that's why!
How cute is this calendar?
Absolutely LOVE the border!!!
I  use to wear those kind of skates at the top...
and play those records.
The ice cubes in the lemonade are just great!
Everything a girl could want!
Her first block of the month quilt.
The back of the quilt was so cute!
Check out the tootsie roll and stickers. Fun!
This is all I have of this quilt. I loved the
big blue rick rack on the pieced border.

Thanks to Lori for a job well done! You can see better pictures and more of her quilts on her blog at...

Also... some of you have asked me about Lori's pattern for the applique' cake plaque that she taught us... that was posted on my previous post. It will be in pattern form and available on March 15th. There is also a few kits still available at American Quilting if you wanted to make one just like ours!

Retreat Trunk Show... Quilts... Quilts... Quilts!

Carol Adams and Connie Cawley from "Two Peas in a Pod" are a real hoot and a holler! I just loved listening to these talented gals as they shared their wonderful quilts and designs.

I love how Connie told about the quilts that they made alike and how different their taste was in fabric... which made their quilts look so different.

Here is just a sampling of the ones I saw.

Wonderful women... fabulous quilts... real fun time!

Connie and Carol's patterns are not on the web... but  I am sure that you can order them through American Quilting. If interested... just go to their blog and get their number there.

The final retreat pictures will be this next time and I have saved the best for the last! See ya soon!
