My New Favorite Apron

Today is our Alpine Quilt Guild meeting and I have been asked to share some fun information about my vintage aprons that I have been collecting and ideas about how to use my stash along with information about my new blog... Stash Manicure. It should be alot of fun!

I decided last night it would be fun to have a new apron to show with my vintage ones.

So... I thought is would be great to make
it using a vintage pattern and...
a little bit of vintage rick rack. That way
it would go right along with the theme.
I picked out a few pieces of 30's fabric from
my over flowing stash... LOL... and started cutting.
And before I knew it... I had created this!
I think I have a new favorite apron!

I also have Clothesline Club this morning and we always wear aprons. It will be kind of exciting to have a new apron to wear!

I will have a ton of pictures to share after my BIG day today. You might want to check back in a day or so!

Love that apron pattern, Rae Ann. You will look so cute in it! I'm looking forward to pictures of you. Did you decide not to make the one with doggy fabric for the Kennel club?

I really love your apron, I have a weakness for them. Have collected vintage apron patterns, but not this one. So cute and can't wait to see all the pictures.

I'm amazed you have an apron pattern that old. Aprons seem to be making a come back. I never used them, but they sure are fun to look at. Your new one is really cute!

Oh, I love that apron! I have just recently found an interest in aprons, and even picke dup a pattern at the quilt shop. I haven't made it yet, but I'll get to it soon. It would be a good summer project. Thanks for some fun inspiration.

That is just sooooo cute! I have some vintage aprons and patterns, too. We did an exhibit of aprons at our historical society a few years ago and it was very popular!
