My Neck of the Woods

I had another VISITOR stop by my neck of the woods this week.
This time it was Cindy from "SEW CINDY".
I got a call on Monday and she said that she and her hubby were just heading into our area. They had been on a road trip to the "Sister's Outdoor Quilt Show" in Sisters, Oregon.
LUCKY GIRL!!!
Cindy has got to be one of the SWEETEST people I know! I just love this girl and have had the best time getting to know her through this GREAT WORLD of blogging.

I decided to take her to one of my most favorite
hangouts near my home. It was...

the OLDEST family owned business in Utah.
Well... you say... but...
 DO THEY HAVE FABRIC?
Yes... they DO... and LOTS more!
Are you starting to see  you see WHY this
is my "FAVORITE" hangout?
Just LOOK at all of the beautiful things
that you can FIND here.
Some of my favorites have always been the
red dishes and BETTY BOOP items...
not to mention the ever changing
cute dishes and teapots
that you find located all over the store.
You'll also find things like these
 beautiful tea towels...
linens... and womens white gloves.
(Be sure and DON'T tell your mother-in-laws. LOL!)
LOVE the little lace doilies
and the ADORABLE baby clothes.
CHECK out these darling sock monkeys!
Aren't they to DIE for!
This Birthday Quilt was their Shop Hop quilt...
designed by some of the gals at the store.

Now for the BEST part...
the quilts and fabric!
This was CINDY'S favorite quilt~
Cute bags are hanging everywhere!
My favorite is this CIVIL WAR wall of fabric!
I adore the new Oil Cloth that they just got in.
Think of all of the POSSIBILITIES!
Look at all the GREAT thread...
especially the YLI varigated thread!
All in all...
I think that Cindy had a GOOD time.
Here she is shown with two of my
"DEAREST FRIENDS" on earth...
the store owners... Nan and Betty who are sisters.

Thanks to Scott... Cindy's DH... for
letting her come and share some time with me.
 MOST OF ALL...
Thanks to Cindy for caring enough to call me and make my day... not only by coming to meet me but for the
"WONDERFUL GIFT"
 that she left with me!
I must say... after meeting Cindy...
I think her BLOG name should be....
"SEW SWEET CINDY"!
Well... I must go! I am running off for the day...

BUT...
I will be back with the story of
Broadbents later this week!

Also coming up...
Kennel Girls!

See Ya Soon GIRLERS!

When you live in the quilt mecca you get tons of visits. I think I already told you that. Or Lori. Or Nanette. LOL! Looks like you had a good time -- Broadbents is really fun!

It was such a treat to meet you, Rae Ann. And what a great hostess- taking me to a Mercantile that was totally my "cup of tea". I highly suggest this lovely shop to others.

Thank you, Rae Ann, for taking time out of your day to meet me (us). You're as sweet as your blog.

Hugs and blessings.

What a great time you must have had together. Isn't it amazing that when you meet a blogging friend face to face for the first time, it is like you have known them forever! You have a wonderful hangout in that shop. You would not have to travel anywhere else as it has so much variety. Loved all the quilt pics too, especially that applique one - stunning.

Rae Ann, it looks like you had a wonderful time with sew Cindy shopping. The pictures of Broadbents' inventory has me wishing I was closer.

They don't by any chance have an online store, do they?

Happy Quilting,
Heather

I've heard about Broadbents for years but have never been there - where is it? Provo? Ogden? I hoping to come to SLC late August so I'll have to get myself to Broadbents because I want what they have! xo, Nan
