When I picked up the mail today...
I noticed an envelope addressed to me.
:) :o :}hmmm!
Wow... I thought... this looks interesting!
I don't believe I ordered anything though.
As I looked closer I could see that it was from that "SWEET" gal from where my son is serving on a mission. You remember...Teresa... the one that sent me the Singer featherweight a couple of weeks ago. Believe me... I could not get it opened fast enough! But once I did... I realized somebody's got my number...LOL! That girl knows what I LOVE or... my son does.
LOOK what just happen to be inside.
VINTAGE APRON PATTERNS!
My name just happens to be all over that!
How kind... how thoughtful!
OH... YES... I am THRILLED!
Another surprise came when I called my friend Suzanne down at the Quilting Cottage and she told me that my friend was there so I hurried down and met my cute blogging buddy... Tara.
Pictured are...
Suzanne... Me... Tara.
It is kinda funny how Tara and I became friends.
She mentioned on my blog a while back that she loved my header and that she noticed the DMC thread. That just happened to be her favorite so she inquired where she might find it. I told her Quilting Cottage was the place to get it. Then... as life goes... months later... after chatting back and forth... what should happen but this! A coincidence... I think not!
Oh... she also loves genealogy and works for Family Search. Well... I have to tell you... I spent my entire week doing genealogy. That is the reason I have no quilty thing to show you this week.

Maybe next!
Have a great weekend!

It is so exciting to meet blogging friends.
What fun surprises you got!!!
It's always such fun to meet blogging friends....and how terrific to get something SO suitable for you as a surprise in the mail.
Those aprons are so YOU! What a wonderful gift.
I was wondering why it was so quiet on the blog front. I know you wanted to spend more time doing geneology, so I'm happy for you that you were able to devote more time with it this week. I've been working some on mine too!
I'm dying to see what you do with those patterns and how exciting to meet a blog buddy. Isn't it fun!!!!
Great patterns! It is amazing how people come into our lives.
Such lovely surprises for you both in pattern and friendship!
I sometimes think that people come into your life for a reason and you have to nurture these things. How exciting for you to receive such a thoughtful gift and to meet a blogging buddy. I also believe that you get back in life what you give out. Enjoy making the aprons.
Love Shirley.x
