"Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice" should be our theme for our Dog Kennel Group... known by me as the "Kennel Girls"... because that is exactly what it is when we all get together.
A day with the Kennel Girls is always fun,
especially when so many turn out.
This month's meeting was off to a slow start
however. When I arrived... Lynda
(far left... followed by Pam, Jann, Linda,
Kathy, Jill, and Jackie) was the only one there.
This was my month to teach the girls
"The Church Ladies Apron". (That's funny...
we do meet at a church for our classes. LOL!)
You might remember the apron that I made
from this pattern from months past.
Well... I thought perhaps they had all changed
their minds, so Lynda and I were just about
to leave when here the girls came...
including JoyLynn who snuck in later.
Oh those Lazy Days of Summer!
Jill's "Show and Tell" was fabulous!
This is a baby quilt that she had just finished
for her grand-daughter soon to be.
Check out how cute those blocks are
and the embroidery on the inner border.
The machine quilting on her quilt was adorable.
Too cute Jill!
Jackie... sweet Jackie that go getter gal...
she showed her quilt that she had just completed
from the brown bags that we received back
at the first of the year for the Dog Kennel
"Ugly Quilt Contest" that will be shown
in September at our Extravaganza.
You are so right! It is ANYTHING but UGLY!
And... if you look close you will be able to see
that she has also hand quilted it. It is her first ever!!!
Woo... Hoo... Way to go Jackie!
I was so impressed with Linda's
two sided holiday sampler quilt.
This is from a kit she had purchased a while back.
She had also finished her little
" Winter White" Schnibbles.
Fabulous Linda! Keep up the good work.
Until next time!

I'm so impressed that Jackie hand quilted her quilt. I sure wish she would hurry up and start her own blog so we can see more of her beautiful work.
