I am going tell you...I had a bit of decision making to do. At first I thought that I wanted to make this quilt out of the 30's prints but since I have three quilts in the making that are all out of 30's...I CHOSE (here's that word again!) to make it out of Civil War fabrics...which are my other favorites.
I got into my stash drawer and started just pulling what felt good color wise and this is what stood out to me...however I will not be making it so scrappy by making it with the shirtings. Instead I have elected to use Kona Snow as my background fabric.
After seeing the blocks finished...it seems that it might work out after all. I quess! I will have to wait and see what February's blocks end up being made out of color wise to tell. Let me know what you think!
Hopefully...I won't be the last in the class to get them done this next month...or...maybe I will! Actually...I think I was the first one to sign up after Nedra's post....hummm...and the last one to finish...hummm...I better think about that a little more!
There is still time to sign up if you want to join us. Just check out the Star Crazy Log on my side bar and read all the post that Nedra has made. Thanks Nedra! You got me into this! LOVE IT!!!

Just a note! My sweet...talented friend...Barb of Bella Vista...is having an anniversary giveaway that ends on the 2nd of February. Be sure to stop in and check out her wonderful...inspiring blog!

Your star blocks are beautiful! :0)
Love the colors you have chosen, great job, well done!!
I really love the colors you chose. This is going to be a great quilt!
I really thought you would choose 30s too. I did for one of my versions. You can see it on the BOM blog or on mine. I love how sweet they turned out. I am anxious to see how your civil war quilt will turn out.
I love the colors you picked and it's going to be really nice in civil war fabrics. I especially love the blue. It almost looks a bit aqua in the picture which makes it darling! Keep going, I'm going to want to see February's blocks by next week. Also, we need to get catch up on Amy's blocks too, by Feb 13th.
Oh, Rae Ann, you are just so cute. In your defense of getting the blocks just done, you have had a few other BIG commitments going on! I am just so happy to be making this quilt with you too! We will help each other along.
I LOVE how your blocks turned out. The colors look wonderful!
Hi Rae Ann, ooooo, such pretty colors. You are amazingly talented!

Rae Ann, this quilt is going to be stunning. LOVE LOVE LOVE the colours and fabrics you've chosen. You are amazing! Where do you get the time?
I like these blocks very much. Have fun with the BOM. You made very good choices.
Hi Rae Ann...your blocks look perfect and I think the fabric is a perfect choice too.
The quilt will be amazing I'm sure!
I love the Civil War prints! I know how hard you worked to get the pattern figured out and to get your pieces cut, so it's amazing you got these done so quickly after we were together. Particularly with ALL you are doing in the rest of your life. I don't even have time to walk downstairs to my sewing room, nevermind do something down there! The blocks look awesome.
Love the colors that you are using. I went out of my box and am using the brights.
