If you will remember, I had a great week last week antiquing and was able to pick up a special gift for my friends that I would have lunch with on Saturday. I decided it would be fun to present them each with an antique cup and saucer that reminded me of them.
I filled them with a fat quarter that matched the cup and their personalities or the fabric that they loved best. Then I put them in a little gift bag… tied another fat quarter on top… made like a fan to represent a bow.
My special friends that were joining me that day were Nedra from Cactus Needle… Nanette from Freda’s Hive... Lori from Bee in My Bonnet… and Kim from Bitty Bits and Pieces. We all met at a darling little restaurant called Food for Thought.
These darling ladies each brought a special gift to share. Lori surprised us with three bundles of fat eighths from Riley Blake. I already know what I am going to do with mine and it will involve PINWHEELS!
Kim gave us a little charm pack that of red and white fabrics with a darling crocheted flower that she had made. She is new to crocheting and did a fine job.
Nedra brought us each an Easter bag of goodies… 2 fat quarters (Aunt Gracie’s that I love) jelly bellys and 2 Easter pencils.
Nanette must have thought about the chocolate craving we all would be having after our meal… so she presented us with a way cute cupcake in a box tied with a very creative bow that she had made to give it that little added touch. That is so Nanette!
Nanette brought along her latest creation to share with us. My… that gal is so talented and amazing. In fact… they all are and I am thinking to myself… How lucky am I to be with these women and have them as friends. They really inspire me and I learn so much from them just being in their presence. It was a great afternoon with women I love… despite the ugly, snowy weather.
Can’t wait to take you on a little journey of the week at the cabin. Stay tuned! I’ll be home Sunday and will get another post off soon! :)
